How Can We Prevent Teen Pregnancy?

May 6th, 2009 is known as the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and there were so many buzz-worthy events going on in honor of it. In fact, the Candie's Foundation held a town hall meeting on the prevention of Teenage Pregnancy. Bristol Plain and Hayden Panettiere were both present and talking about awareness and addressing ways on how to reduce the teen pregnancy rate.

As you know, Bristol — the daughter of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin — had a baby at the age of 17 with her then-boyfriend. She’s been in the news a lot lately, speaking out against teen pregnancy with the lessons she learned. She’s been saying that she wishes she would have waited to have sex, and that it was harder to tell her parents she was pregnant than it was to give birth. It was interesting to hear what else she had to say.

What are your thoughts on teen pregnancy prevention? Do you have any ideas on raising awareness? Would love to hear your thoughts!
